Ingredients

  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Beat the cream cheese and butter together until smooth.
  3. Add in the sugar, egg, and vanilla extract, mixing well.
  4. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt in another bowl.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Fold in the lemon zest and blueberries gently.
  7. Drop tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  9. Let them cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
