Scale
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup caramel bits
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Create the creamy base by beating together the cream cheese and butter until smooth.
  3. Sweeten the mixture by adding the brown sugar and granulated sugar, mixing until well combined.
  4. Incorporate the egg and vanilla extract.
  5. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt in another bowl, then slowly add to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Add the caramel bits, ensuring they’re evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  7. Form tablespoon-sized balls of dough and drop them onto a lined baking sheet.
  8. Elevate with a sprinkle of sea salt on top of each cookie.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden.
  10. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
