Delightful cookies with a creamy cheesecake base and gooey caramel, topped with a sprinkle of sea salt.

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • Sea salt for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together the cream cheese and softened butter until smooth.
  3. Add the brown sugar and granulated sugar, beating until fluffy.
  4. Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until fully combined.
  5. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  7. Fold in the caramel sauce until evenly distributed throughout the cookie dough.
  8. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them apart.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden but centers remain soft.
  10. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with sea salt.
