  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup chopped strawberries
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour a cake pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
  3. Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, mixing thoroughly. Pour in buttermilk and mix until combined.
  6. Fold in chopped strawberries and chocolate chips.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Allow the cake to cool before slicing and serving.
