  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for icing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Mix together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Cut in the softened butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in the milk until a soft dough forms.
  5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, about ¼ inch thick.
  6. Mix the brown sugar and ground cinnamon together and sprinkle it evenly over the dough.
  7. Spread the chopped strawberries over the mixture.
  8. Roll the dough tightly from one end to the other.
  9. Cut the rolled dough into 12 even pieces.
  10. Bake in your preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  11. Combine powdered sugar and milk to create a smooth icing.
  12. Drizzle the icing over the warm rolls just before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days, or freeze for up to a month. Make the dough a day ahead for convenience.
