A delightful cake combining rich chocolate with creamy strawberry layers, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 box of chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cup of water
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup of vegetable oil
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup of powdered sugar
  • 1 cup of fresh strawberries, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup of sliced strawberries for topping
  • Whipped cream for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Combine the chocolate cake mix, 1 cup of water, 3 large eggs, and 1/2 cup of vegetable oil in a large bowl. Mix until well combined and smooth.
  3. Beat the softened cream cheese and 1 cup of powdered sugar together until smooth.
  4. Pour half of the chocolate cake batter into the prepared pan.
  5. Spoon the cream cheese mixture over the chocolate batter.
  6. Add the chopped strawberries over the top of the cake.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Let the cake cool in the pan before serving. Top with sliced strawberries and whipped cream if desired.

Notes

For best results, ensure cream cheese is at room temperature and do not overmix the batter.
