  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup diced fresh strawberries
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Cream the butter until smooth, then add the egg and vanilla; mix well.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  5. Fold in the diced strawberries.
  6. Scoop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar.

Notes
