A delightful blend of beef and pork meatballs enveloped in a creamy, savory sauce that brings warmth and comfort to your dining table.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 lb ground pork
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp allspice
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Meatball Mixture: In a bowl, mix the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, milk, onion, egg, salt, pepper, allspice, and nutmeg until well combined.
  2. Form the Meatballs: Roll the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
  3. Sauté the Meatballs: In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook until browned on all sides.
  4. Remove the Meatballs: Once browned, remove the meatballs from the skillet and set them aside.
  5. Create the Creamy Sauce: In the same skillet, add the beef broth, heavy cream, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.
  6. Simmer the Meatballs in Sauce: Return the meatballs to the skillet and let them cook in the sauce for about 10 minutes, allowing them to absorb the flavors.
  7. Serve the Meatballs: Serve the meatballs warm with the sauce over your choice of side—be it fluffy mashed potatoes, noodles, or a simple green salad.

Notes

When mixing the meat, be gentle—overworking the mixture can lead to tough meatballs.
