A delightful fusion of flavors, these mango glazed chicken twists feature crispy puff pastry enveloping tender chicken coated in a luscious mango glaze.

Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 1 cup mango puree
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 package puff pastry
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sesame seeds for garnish
  • Green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Mix together the mango puree, soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, and minced ginger in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Immerse the chicken breasts in the marinade and let them marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the marinated chicken and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side until fully cooked. Shred the chicken into bite-sized pieces.
  5. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut into 1-inch wide strips.
  6. Place a small amount of shredded chicken at one end of each strip and twist the pastry around the chicken.
  7. Arrange the twists on a lined baking sheet and bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Sprinkle sesame seeds and chopped green onions on top before serving.

Notes

Marinating the chicken longer enhances the flavor. Keep puff pastry cold for better results.
