A delightful fusion of focaccia and donuts filled with your favorite jam, perfect for any time of day.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 packet instant yeast (2 1/4 tsp)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup milk, warmed
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup jam (any flavor)
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl until evenly combined.
  2. Add the warmed milk, melted butter, and egg to the mixture and combine.
  3. Transfer the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead for about 5-10 minutes.
  4. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.
  5. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Roll out the dough gently and place it into a greased baking dish.
  7. Create small wells all over the dough and fill them with jam.
  8. Pop the baking dish into the oven and bake for about 20-25 minutes.
  9. Allow the focaccia to cool, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.
