Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb Italian sausage (sliced)
  • 4 cups chicken broth

  • 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese (shredded)

Instructions

  1. Browning the sausage: In a large pot over medium heat, brown the sliced Italian sausage for about 5-7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  2. Sautéing the garlic: In the same pot, melt the butter and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant (about 1 minute).
  3. Bringing it to a boil: Add the chicken broth and bring it to a boil.
  4. Cooking the pasta: Stir in the elbow macaroni, along with onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  5. Simmering to perfection: Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer for 8-10 minutes until the pasta is al dente.
  6. Combining the goodness: Stir in the cooked sausage and both cheeses until melted and creamy.
  7. Resting before serving: Allow to rest briefly before serving.
