Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Smoked paprika to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter over medium heat in a large pot.
  2. Season the chicken with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika, then add to the pot and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  3. Sauté the minced garlic in the same pot until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  4. Add the orzo pasta and chicken broth, stirring to combine.
  5. Return the chicken to the pot and cover, reducing heat to low.
  6. Cook until the orzo is al dente and the chicken is cooked through, about 10-12 minutes.
  7. Stir in the heavy cream and parmesan cheese until well combined.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.

Notes

Great served with a side salad or crusty bread. Can customize with other proteins or add vegetables like spinach or mushrooms.
