Delicious fluffy beignets, dusted with powdered sugar, perfect for breakfast or dessert.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • Oil for frying
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Whisk the dry ingredients together until well combined.
  2. Combine the wet ingredients in another bowl.
  3. Combine the wet and dry ingredients, stirring until just mixed.
  4. Heat the oil to 375°F (190°C).
  5. Drop spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil.
  6. Fry the beignets until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  7. Drain the fried beignets on paper towels.
  8. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Ensure oil is hot enough before frying to prevent greasy beignets. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to two days.
