  • 6 cups sliced apples (such as Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup cold butter, diced
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Toss the sliced apples with lemon juice and cinnamon, then spread them in a greased baking dish.
  3. Combine the rolled oats, brown sugar, flour, and salt in a separate bowl.
  4. Cut in the cold, diced butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  5. Evenly sprinkle the oat mixture over the prepared apples.
  6. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the apples are tender.
  7. Serve warm, preferably with vanilla ice cream on top.
