A nostalgic and comforting apple crisp with a crumbly oat topping, perfect for fall gatherings.

  • 6 cups sliced apples
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Toss the sliced apples with lemon juice and cinnamon in a large bowl.
  3. Combine brown sugar, oats, flour, butter, granulated sugar, and salt until crumbly.
  4. Arrange the apple mixture in a baking dish and sprinkle the oat mixture over the top.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes until the apples are tender and the topping is golden brown.
  6. Serve warm, optionally with vanilla ice cream.

Notes
