Delightful apple fritter bites that bring nostalgia and warmth to your kitchen with their sweet-tart juiciness and crispy texture.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups apples, peeled and diced
  • Oil for frying
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Whisk the dry ingredients in a bowl together: flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and sugar.
  2. Beat the eggs in another bowl and stir in the milk.
  3. Combine the egg mixture with the dry ingredients until just mixed, then gently fold in the diced apples.
  4. Heat the oil in a deep skillet over medium heat until it’s hot but not smoking.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  6. Remove fritters from the oil and drain on paper towels.
  7. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Enjoy warm, possibly with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
