Delicious and customizable Asian Chicken Lettuce Wraps, perfect for family dinners or casual gatherings.

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 carrot, finely chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup water chestnuts, chopped
  • Lettuce leaves for wrapping
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
  2. Add the ground chicken to the skillet and cook until nicely browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.
  3. Stir in the green onions, garlic, carrot, and red bell pepper; cook until the vegetables are tender and fragrant.
  4. Pour in the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, and the chopped water chestnuts. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
  5. Remove from heat and let the mixture cool slightly. Spoon generous portions into the lettuce leaves.
  6. Garnish your wraps with sesame seeds, and serve fresh.

Notes

These wraps can be paired with steamed jasmine rice or miso soup, and feel free to customize the vegetables to your taste.
