A simple yet delicious baked lemon pepper tofu that showcases the versatility and flavor of tofu, perfect for any meal.

Ingredients

  • 14 oz firm tofu
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Press the tofu between paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  3. Cut the pressed tofu into bite-sized cubes or rectangles.
  4. Whisk together olive oil, lemon zest, lemon juice, black pepper, garlic powder, and salt.
  5. Marinate the tofu pieces in the marinade for about 10 minutes.
  6. Prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and arrange the marinated tofu.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  8. Check for crispiness and bake an additional 5 minutes if needed.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley and allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven for best texture.
