A warm and cheesy baked spaghetti recipe that brings comfort and joy to dinner gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz spaghetti
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 24 oz marinara sauce
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • ½ cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) so it’s good and hot when we’re ready to bake.
  2. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside, keeping a touch of that pasta water for later.
  3. Sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic in olive oil over medium heat until softened and fragrant, about 3-5 minutes.
  4. Brown the ground beef, breaking it up with a spatula, and cook until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  5. Stir in the marinara sauce along with a sprinkle of salt and pepper. Let this simmer for about 5 minutes for flavors to meld.
  6. Mix the cooked spaghetti with the saucy beef mixture and fold in half of the mozzarella cheese.
  7. Transfer the mixture into a lightly greased baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  8. Top it off with remaining mozzarella and parmesan cheese.
  9. Bake for about 25-30 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  10. Allow to cool slightly before serving to achieve perfect slices.
