Delicious Banana Bread Brownies with a fudgy texture, perfect for using overripe bananas.

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and generously grease a baking pan.
  2. Mash the bananas thoroughly in a mixing bowl with a fork.
  3. Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas until completely combined.
  4. Mix in the sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until well-blended.
  5. Sprinkle in the baking soda and salt, mixing well.
  6. Add the flour gradually, stirring gently until just combined.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips if using.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly.
  9. Pop it in the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Cool in the pan before cutting into squares.
