  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar for frosting

  • 1 tablespoon milk for frosting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Mix the melted butter and brown sugar together until well blended, then incorporate the mashed bananas, egg, and vanilla extract.
  3. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt into the banana mixture. Fold in walnuts if using.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Make the brown butter frosting by melting the butter in a saucepan and allowing it to brown slightly.
  7. Whisk together the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk with the browned butter until smooth.
