A simple and delicious banana bread recipe that transforms ripe bananas into a moist loaf, perfect for breakfast or a sweet snack.

Ingredients

  • 2 to 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
  3. Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas.
  4. Mix in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla until well combined.
  5. Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and stir in.
  6. Add the flour and stir until just incorporated.
  7. Pour the batter into a greased 4×8-inch loaf pan.
  8. Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Let the bread cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For optimal sweetness, use bananas that are heavily speckled or even blackened. Try adding walnuts or chocolate chips for extra flavor.
