Delicious and comforting Banana Nut Bread made with ripe bananas and crunchy walnuts.

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mash the bananas in a mixing bowl.
  3. Mix in the melted butter.
  4. Add the baking soda and salt.
  5. Sweeten by mixing in the sugar, egg, and vanilla.
  6. Incorporate the all-purpose flour until just combined.
  7. Add the chopped walnuts to the batter.
  8. Pour the batter into a greased 4×8 inch loaf pan.
  9. Bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Cool the bread in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
