Nutritious and easy-to-make Banana Oatmeal Bars combining the natural sweetness of bananas with hearty oats.

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 cup nuts or chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to a cozy 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mash the ripe bananas in a mixing bowl until smooth.
  3. Add rolled oats, cinnamon, honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, and baking powder to the bowl. Mix until well combined.
  4. Fold in your choice of nuts or chocolate chips.
  5. Spread the mixture evenly in a greased baking dish.
  6. Pop your dish into the oven and let it bake for about 20-25 minutes.
  7. Once baked, let the bars cool before cutting them into portions.
