A delightful dessert that combines the nostalgic flavors of a classic banana split with the ease of a dump cake, perfect for gatherings or a cozy night in.

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1 box of vanilla cake mix
  • 1 can (20 oz) crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1 cup maraschino cherries, drained
  • 1 cup walnuts or pecans, chopped
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup shredded coconut (optional)
  • Whipped cream for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Layer the sliced bananas evenly on the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle the drained crushed pineapple over the bananas.
  4. Evenly sprinkle the dry cake mix over the pineapple and bananas.
  5. Top with maraschino cherries and chopped nuts.
  6. Drizzle the melted butter over the entire top.
  7. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
  8. Let cool slightly, then serve warm with whipped cream.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. Reheat individual servings in the microwave for about 20-30 seconds.
