A crispy and spicy dish featuring cauliflower tossed in a creamy bang bang sauce, perfect for vegetarians and vegans alike.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 head of cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 1 cup flour (can use gluten-free flour)
  • 1 cup vegetable oil (for frying)
  • 1 cup rice (for serving)
  • 1/2 cup vegan mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha (or to taste)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium heat, allowing it to reach the perfect temperature for frying.
  2. Mix the flour with salt and pepper in a bowl. This will create the flavorful coating for our cauliflower.
  3. Dredge the cauliflower florets in the flour mixture until they are well coated, ensuring every piece is ready for frying.
  4. Fry the cauliflower in batches until golden and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. You want them nice and crunchy!
  5. Combine the vegan mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha in a separate bowl to make the bang bang sauce. Taste and adjust the sriracha if you like extra heat!
  6. Serve the crispy cauliflower over rice and drizzle with the bang bang sauce. Dig in and savor every bite!

Notes

Fry in small batches to avoid overcrowding the pan. For a lighter option, consider using cornstarch instead of flour.
