Crispy chicken bites paired with a creamy and spicy sauce, perfect for appetizers or main courses.

  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • 1/2 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • Lettuce or mixed greens (for salad bowl)
  • Optional toppings: green onions, sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken pieces in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Prepare the coating by mixing together the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Coat the marinated chicken pieces in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
  5. Fry the coated chicken in the hot oil until golden brown and fully cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  6. Create the sauce by mixing the sweet chili sauce and mayonnaise together.
  7. Serve the crispy chicken bites with the sauce on the side for dipping or toss them in the sauce.
  8. Prepare the salad bowl with lettuce or mixed greens and top with chicken and additional sauce if desired.
  9. Garnish with optional toppings like sliced green onions or sesame seeds.

Notes

Ensure the oil is hot enough before frying. Can be made gluten-free with a substitute for flour.
