A crispy seafood dish coated in a creamy spicy sauce that will become a favorite at your dinner table.

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • Oil for frying
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the coating mixture by mixing the flour, cornstarch, paprika, salt, and black pepper together until well combined.
  2. Dredge the shrimp in buttermilk, ensuring they are well coated. Then, dredge in the flour mixture, dip back into the buttermilk, and coat with the flour mixture again.
  3. Heat the oil in a deep skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  4. Fry the shrimp in batches until they are golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  5. Mix the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha together until creamy and well-blended.
  6. Combine the fried shrimp with the Bang Bang sauce until they are thoroughly coated and serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions.

Notes

For extra flavor, pair with jasmine rice or noodles to soak up the delicious sauce.
