Crispy shrimp coated in a creamy, sweet-and-spicy sauce, perfect for an appetizer or a quick meal.

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup cornstarch
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha (optional)
  • Oil for frying
  • Green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Sauce Mixture: In a bowl, combine the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha until smooth and well blended. Set aside.
  2. Coat the Shrimp: Dip the shrimp in buttermilk, then dredge in cornstarch, shaking off excess.
  3. Fry the Shrimp: Heat oil over medium-high heat, add shrimp in a single layer, and fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  4. Toss in the Sauce: Once cooked, toss the shrimp in the sauce mixture until fully coated.
  5. Garnish and Serve: Plate the shrimp and garnish with green onions. Serve immediately.

Notes

Best enjoyed fresh but can be stored for up to 2 days in an airtight container. Reheat in a hot pan to restore crunch.
