Crispy Bang Bang Shrimp coated in a creamy, spicy sauce that elevates it from ordinary to extraordinary.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 12 tbsp sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tbsp sriracha (optional, for heat)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Create the Bang Bang Sauce: In a bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to create the Bang Bang sauce. Set aside to let the flavors blend together.
  2. Coat the Shrimp: Dredge each shrimp in the panko breadcrumbs, ensuring they are well-coated for that delightful crunch. Press gently to make sure the breadcrumbs adhere.
  3. Heat the Oil: In a pan, heat oil over medium heat. Once the oil is shimmering, it’s time to fry!
  4. Fry the Shrimp: Fry the shrimp in batches, being careful not to overcrowd the pan. Cook each batch for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they are golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Drain the Shrimp: Remove the fried shrimp and place them on paper towels to drain any excess oil.
  6. Toss in Sauce: In a large bowl, toss the crispy shrimp in the Bang Bang sauce until they are evenly coated with that irresistible mixture.
  7. Serve with Style: Serve immediately, garnished with freshly chopped green onions for a pop of color and flavor.

Notes

Frying the shrimp in batches helps achieve that crispy texture. The Bang Bang sauce is essential; adjust the sweetness and heat to suit your taste.
