  • 8 oz elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (optional for topping)

Instructions

  1. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions. Once al dente, drain and set aside.
  2. Melt the butter in a large pot over medium heat.
  3. Add the milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper, and stir until combined.
  4. Stir in the cheddar cheese until melted and smooth.
  5. Combine the cooked macaroni, shredded chicken, and BBQ sauce with the cheese sauce, mixing well.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and sprinkle breadcrumbs on top if desired.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
  8. Cool slightly before serving warm.

Notes

For a crunchy topping, mix breadcrumbs with melted butter and herbs before sprinkling.
