A delightful balance of savory beef and crunchy broccoli tossed in a vibrant garlic-ginger sauce, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb beef (sliced thinly)
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 inch ginger (grated)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice for serving

Instructions

  1. Marinate the Beef: In a bowl, combine the beef slices with soy sauce and cornstarch. Allow to marinate for 15 minutes to enhance the flavors and tenderize the meat.
  2. Heat the Skillet: Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. It’s important to get the oil hot enough to get a good sear on the meat.
  3. Cook the Beef: Add the marinated beef to the skillet and cook until browned, about 3-5 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  4. Sauté Aromatics: In the same skillet, add minced garlic and grated ginger, sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Add Broccoli and Broth: Add broccoli florets and beef broth to the skillet. Cook until the broccoli is tender, about 4-5 minutes.
  6. Combine Beef and Broccoli: Return the cooked beef to the skillet, stir to combine, and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through.
  7. Season and Serve: Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve over warm, fluffy cooked rice.

Notes

For an extra kick, consider adding red pepper flakes or sriracha during the cooking process.
