A classic and simple stir-fry melding tender beef and vibrant broccoli in a savory sauce, perfect for family dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • Cooked rice for serving

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, brown sugar, minced garlic, and ginger to make the sauce.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add the beef and stir-fry until nicely browned, about 4-5 minutes.
  3. Remove the beef from the pan and set it aside.
  4. Add the broccoli to the same pan and stir-fry for about 3 minutes until tender but still crisp.
  5. Return the beef to the pan, add the sauce, and stir everything together, cooking for another 2-3 minutes.
  6. Serve the Beef and Broccoli over hot rice.

Notes

For a complete meal, serve with steamed dumplings or egg rolls. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days, or frozen for 2 months.
