Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb beef sirloin, sliced into thin strips
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Egg noodles or rice for serving

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the beef strips and cook until browned on all sides. Remove the beef and set aside.
  2. Add onions and garlic to the same skillet, sauté until the onions are translucent.
  3. Add mushrooms and cook until they are soft.
  4. Stir in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a simmer and reduce heat.
  5. Return the beef to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  6. Lower the heat and stir in sour cream until fully combined and heated through.
  7. Serve over egg noodles or rice for a hearty and delicious meal.

Notes

For optimal flavor, marinate the beef beforehand. Can substitute sour cream with Greek yogurt for added tanginess.
