Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound beef (flank steak or sirloin), sliced thinly
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooked rice for serving

Instructions

  1. Marinade the Beef: In a bowl, combine the sliced beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and salt. Let it marinate for about 15 minutes.
  2. Sizzle the Beef: Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry until browned, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Steam the Broccoli: In the same skillet, add broccoli florets and a little water. Cover and steam for 2-3 minutes until bright green.
  4. Infuse Garlic Goodness: Add minced garlic to the broccoli and stir-fry for another minute.
  5. Combine and Thicken: Return the beef to the skillet and pour in beef broth and sesame oil. Stir well and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  6. Serve with Warm Rice: Serve hot over cooked rice.
