  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup cookie dough (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. Whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, and cocoa powder until well-combined.
  3. Combine the melted butter and granulated sugar in another bowl, stirring until smooth.
  4. Add in the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until incorporated.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips gently.
  7. Spread half of the brownie batter evenly across the prepared baking dish.
  8. Spoon dollops of cookie dough on top and spread gently.
  9. Pour the remaining brownie batter over the cookie dough, covering it completely.
  10. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs.
  11. Allow to cool before cutting into squares.
