This blackberry cobbler captures all the sweetness of summer with a soft cake-like base cradling juicy blackberries beneath a buttery crust.

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix the blackberries with 1/2 cup of sugar and set aside.
  3. Whisk together the flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Stir in the milk and vanilla extract, then fold in the melted butter.
