Irresistible Blackened Shrimp Tacos with spicy shrimp, crunchy cabbage, and creamy avocado.

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons blackening seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 8 small corn or flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • Lime wedges for serving
  • Sour cream or crema for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season the shrimp in a bowl with the blackening seasoning until well coated.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Cook the seasoned shrimp for 2-3 minutes on each side until fully cooked and blackened.
  4. Warm the tortillas in a separate pan or over a flame until soft and pliable.
  5. Assemble the tacos with shrimp, shredded cabbage, avocado slices, and cilantro.
  6. Serve with lime wedges and optional sour cream or crema.

Notes

For an extra kick, add cayenne pepper to the blackening seasoning. You can also grill the shrimp for a smoky flavor.
