A simple yet delicious Blueberry Galette that captures the essence of summer in a flaky, buttery crust.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups fresh blueberries
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 pre-made pie crust
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon butter (for dotting)
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Combine the fresh blueberries, granulated sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, and a pinch of salt in a medium-sized bowl.
  3. Roll out the pre-made pie crust onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Spoon the blueberry mixture into the center of the rolled-out crust, leaving a 2-inch border.
  5. Fold the edges of the crust over the blueberries, tucking and pinching as needed.
  6. Brush the folded crust with the beaten egg.
  7. Dot the blueberry filling with small bits of butter.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and bubbling.
  9. Let it cool for a few moments before serving.

Notes

Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for an extra treat.
