  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup toffee bits
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Let’s get the heat going so those cookies can bake perfectly!
  2. Brown the butter in a saucepan over medium heat until golden and nutty. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  3. Mix together the browned butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until well combined.
  4. Beat in the vanilla extract and eggs one at a time to the sugar mixture.
  5. Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in another bowl.
  6. Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined; avoid overmixing.
  7. Fold in the toffee bits and chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  8. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden.
  10. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking for thicker cookies. For a gluten-free version, substitute with a 1:1 gluten-free flour blend.
