Indulge in these decadent Buckeye Brownies, featuring rich chocolate, creamy peanut butter, topped with a glossy chocolate layer for a perfect dessert experience.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Melt the butter and mix in the sugar. Stir in the eggs, one at a time, and then add the vanilla extract.
  3. Combine the flour, cocoa powder, and salt in a separate bowl. Gradually add this to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  4. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
  5. Prepare the peanut butter layer by mixing the peanut butter and powdered sugar until smooth. Drop spoonfuls of the peanut butter mixture over the brownie batter, then spread the remaining brownie batter on top.
  6. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Add melted chocolate chips over the top of the brownies. Let set before cutting into squares. Enjoy!

Notes

For a richer chocolate flavor, consider adding an extra tablespoon of cocoa powder. If peanut butter isn’t your thing, you can swap it out for almond butter or Nutella.
