A delicious symphony of flavors with al dente pasta in creamy buffalo sauce, tender flank steak, and pepper jack cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz penne pasta
  • 1 lb flank steak
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup buffalo sauce
  • 1 cup shredded pepper jack cheese
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta by bringing a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the penne and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Sear the flank steak in a skillet with olive oil, seasoning with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper for 4-5 minutes on each side. Let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
  3. Create the sauce by reducing the heat in the skillet, adding buffalo sauce and heavy cream, and simmering for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Combine the cooked penne with the sauce, tossing well.
  5. Melt in the shredded pepper jack cheese until fully incorporated.
  6. Serve the pasta in bowls topped with sliced flank steak and green onions.

Notes

For a vegetarian option, substitute flank steak with portobello mushrooms. Adjust buffalo sauce for spice preference.
