A vibrant meal featuring perfectly seared salmon and juicy shrimp in a luscious garlic cream sauce with a hint of Cajun heat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 lb salmon fillet
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season the shrimp and salmon generously with the Cajun seasoning, ensuring every bit is coated.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  3. Place the salmon fillet skin-side down and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side until cooked through, then remove and set aside.
  4. Add the minced garlic to the same skillet and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Add the seasoned shrimp to the skillet and cook until they turn pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes.
  6. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
  7. Add the heavy cream and stir to combine, creating a rich sauce.
  8. Return the cooked salmon to the skillet and simmer gently for an additional 2-3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for heavy cream. Fresh seafood is recommended for the best flavor.
