A vibrant and flavorful dish combining succulent shrimp and smoky sausage, tossed in aromatic vegetables and a rich blend of Cajun spices.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 pound smoked sausage, sliced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Sauté the onions, bell peppers, and garlic in olive oil until softened, about 5 minutes.
  2. Add the sliced smoked sausage and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Stir in the shrimp and sprinkle with Cajun seasoning, cooking until shrimp are pink and tender, about 3-5 minutes.
  4. Pour in chicken broth and let simmer for a few minutes to meld flavors.
  5. Season with salt and pepper, and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

Pairs well with white rice or creamy polenta. Store leftovers in an airtight container and consume within 3 days.
