A flavorful and comforting dish featuring shrimp in a creamy Cajun sauce, served over fettuccine pasta.

  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the fettuccine pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the shrimp and sprinkle with Cajun seasoning. Cook until the shrimp turn pink, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the bell pepper, onion, and garlic. Sauté until the vegetables are tender.
  5. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer, then stir in the heavy cream. Cook for about 5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  6. Add the cooked pasta and shrimp back to the skillet. Toss to coat and heat through.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Make sure not to overcook the shrimp; they should be tender and juicy.
