A creamy and spicy Cajun-inspired pasta dish featuring tender sirloin steak, bell peppers, and fettuccine, all cooked in one skillet for easy cleanup.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound sirloin steak
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • 1 onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 12 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Season sirloin strips with salt and pepper, then cook for 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. Sauté sliced onion and bell peppers for about 4-5 minutes until softened.
  4. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  5. Pour in the beef broth and bring to a boil.
  6. Add fettuccine pasta and cook according to package instructions (8-10 minutes), stirring occasionally until al dente.
  7. Reduce heat to low; stir in heavy cream and Cajun seasoning until well combined.
  8. Return the cooked steak to the skillet, add Parmesan cheese, and stir until melted into the sauce. Adjust seasoning as needed.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently, adding a splash of broth or cream.
