A delightful summer-inspired dish featuring tender chicken breasts topped with fresh tomatoes, creamy mozzarella, and aromatic basil.

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Tomato slices (fresh and ripe)
  • Fresh mozzarella cheese slices
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • Balsamic vinegar (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Season the chicken breasts generously with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat in an oven-safe skillet.
  4. Sear the chicken breasts for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Layer each chicken breast with slices of ripe tomato, mozzarella, and basil leaves.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until fully cooked.
  7. Drizzle with balsamic vinegar before serving, if desired.

Notes
