A refreshing salad celebrating the classic flavors of Caprese with pasta, mozzarella, and cherry tomatoes.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces pasta (e.g., fusilli or penne)
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 cup fresh mozzarella balls, halved
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Once done, drain it and set aside to cool.
  2. Combine the halved cherry tomatoes, mozzarella balls, and chopped basil in a large bowl.
  3. Add the cooled pasta to the bowl of fresh ingredients.
  4. Whisk together olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper until nicely combined.
  5. Pour the dressing over the pasta salad and gently toss everything together.
  6. Serve immediately or refrigerate for later; it tastes even better the next day.

Notes

This salad can be made ahead. Keep the dressing separate until ready to serve to maintain freshness.
