Delicious carne asada tacos featuring marinated grilled steak, fresh toppings, and warm tortillas, perfect for family gatherings.

  • 2 pounds carne asada (marinated flank steak or skirt steak)
  • Tortillas (corn or flour)
  • 1 cup diced onions
  • 1 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • Lime wedges
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Salsa or hot sauce (optional)

Instructions

  1. Grill the carne asada by preheating your grill to medium-high heat. Lay the carne asada on the grill and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side.
  2. Let the steak rest for a few minutes, then slice against the grain for optimal tenderness.
  3. Warm your tortillas on the grill or in a skillet for about 1-2 minutes on each side.
  4. Assemble the tacos by placing grilled carne asada slices in the center of a warm tortilla.
  5. Top with diced onions and freshly chopped cilantro.
  6. Squeeze some lime over the toppings for added flavor.
  7. Add optional salsa or hot sauce to taste.
