Crispy and spicy cauliflower bites that are a healthier alternative to traditional buffalo wings, perfect for game day or movie nights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 head of cauliflower, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup hot sauce (like Frank’s RedHot)
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • Celery sticks, for serving
  • Blue cheese or ranch dressing, for dipping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, water, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper to create a smooth batter.
  3. Dip each cauliflower piece into the batter, allowing excess to drip off, then place them on the lined baking sheet.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes until the cauliflower is golden and crispy.
  5. While the cauliflower is baking, mix the hot sauce and melted butter in a separate bowl.
  6. Remove the cauliflower from the oven and toss it in the hot sauce mixture.
  7. Return the cauliflower to the oven and bake for another 10-15 minutes until extra crispy.
  8. Serve warm with celery sticks and your choice of blue cheese or ranch dressing for dipping.

Notes

For extra crunch, try double-dipping the cauliflower. You can also use gluten-free flour for a gluten-free option.
